i know i’ve talked about this before. it’s difficult for someone who loves taking pictures, to realize that you’re rarely in them. i like being in pictures and having my photo taken and showing ‘proof’ that i was there! what’s even more annoying is that every time you’re at an outing or an event or SOMETHING with friends, just because you’re a photographer, people ‘expect’ you to want to take photos of the occassion and what’s happening. well, guess what? i don’t. there have been many times that i purposely left my camera at home so i could actually enjoy myself, and the result? photos weren’t taken. well, that’s not my fault. i’m not the only one that knows how to use a point and shoot.

the moral of the story is, if you want to capture the evening with your friends, take your own damn pictures.

I am by no means a professional photographer, but in my family’s mind, I have the fancy camera, so I need to take all the pictures.  I “forget” my camera every once in a while.  It’s not even that I like being in photos all the time, I just don’t like being expected to be the staff photographer at every event.
